Subject to approval. Check the CAT and the total cost before you accept.
Four steps, all from your phone and without visiting a branch.
Set the amount and the term, and enter your details. We confirm your mobile number with a code sent by SMS.
Photograph both sides of your valid INE, legible and complete. We take your details from it — you do not have to type them again.
A selfie to prove the ID is yours. This is the step that stops someone else taking out a loan with your documents.
If we approve your application, we send the money by SPEI transfer to the CLABE of a debit account in your name.
Before you pay anything or hand your details to anyone, check these four rules.
We grant loans solely through moni.mx and our official support channels. We do not work with intermediaries, brokers or agents.
We do not charge to review your application, to “release” a deposit, or for insurance or memberships beforehand. If anyone asks you for that in Moni’s name, it is fraud.
We will not ask you by email, SMS or WhatsApp for your passwords, your access codes, your PIN or your full card details.
If a message makes you doubt, do not click its links: write to us through the customer support channels at the bottom of this page and we will confirm whether it came from us.
Moni grants loans exclusively through moni.mx. We do not operate with intermediaries and we never request money up front. We will never ask you by email for your personal data, account numbers or passwords.
We do check your credit history and other sources to decide. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee approval.

Mind your capacity to pay. As a general rule your combined credit payments should not exceed 35% of your periodic income; the costs of default are very high
Failing to meet your obligations may generate fees and default interest

Failing to meet your obligations may generate fees and default interest

Your cost is made of three things: the interest for the days you use the money, any applicable fees, and the corresponding VAT. Before you sign you receive your offer with the full breakdown, your total amount due and your due date. If it does not suit you, you do not accept it: applying costs nothing.
The CAT (Total Annual Cost) expresses the cost of credit — interest and fees — as a single annual percentage, so you can compare offers from different companies on the same measure. It looks high on short loans because it annualises a cost you pay over a few days: what really leaves your pocket is the pesos of interest for that term, and that amount appears in your offer and in your contract. The CAT is informational and exists for comparison.
Be of legal age and reside in Mexico, a valid INE, a debit account in your name to receive the deposit, a mobile number and an email address of your own, and your CURP and RFC. We do not ask for a guarantor, you do not have to visit a branch and you do not need paper receipts. We do check your credit history and other sources to decide: meeting the requirements does not guarantee approval.
First we review your application and your documents. If we approve you, we send the money by SPEI transfer to the CLABE you registered, and how long it takes to show up depends on your bank and on when the transfer left. In your account you can follow the status of your application and of your deposit, with a timestamp for each step.
Whichever method is enabled for your credit: SPEI transfer from your bank’s app, cash at a convenience store counter, or debit card from your Moni account. The one that applies to your loan, your reference and your exact amount appear in your account and in your contract. If you pay in cash, the store may charge its own service fee. Always keep your receipt.
Failing to meet your obligations may generate fees and default interest. Among the implications that could result from non-payment are default interest, collection efforts to your phone and your home address, damage to your credit history, and legal implications arising from breach of contract. The default rate and the day of delay on which it starts to accrue are in your contract. If you can see you will not make your date, write to us beforehand: with notice we can review your case.
The terms for early repayment, in full or in part, are written into your contract. Write to us and we will calculate the exact amount for the day you want to pay, with the reference you should use. Once the payment is applied we confirm it through the same channel.
We process your data to assess your application, perform the contract and meet legal obligations, in accordance with our Privacy Notice. If your application is not approved, we keep only the information the law obliges us to keep, for the period the law itself sets, and after that it is deleted or anonymised. The Privacy Notice lists the applicable purposes and transfers: there you can check with whom your data is shared and for what. The Total Annual Cost (CAT) expresses the cost of credit — interest and fees — as a single annual percentage. It is there so you can compare offers. It is informational.
The CAT annualises the cost of credit so you can compare offers, even when your loan only lasts a few days. What actually leaves your pocket is the interest for the days you use the money, and that peso amount appears in your offer and in your contract.
